Hendersonville, NC - Home of the annual Apple Festival in late Aug., early Sept.

Black Mountain, NC - One of Western North Carolina's gems!

The North Carolina Arboretum - One of the best short hikes around.

Great Smoky Mountains Railroad - Not many like this left - don't miss this if you've got kids!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Easy access to the A.T. from Cosby Campground for a day hike.

WNC Nature Center - Lions, Tigers ... ok, Ill stop.

Carl Sandburg Home - We suggest spending 2 1/2 hours to enjoy the site. Take a half-hour guided house tour ($5 fee), visit the dairy goat barn and stroll over five miles of trails that the Sandburg family enjoyed.

Asheville Tourists Minor League Baseball - Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Craig Biggio and more made stops here in Asheville on their way to the show. See great minor league baseball at McCormick Field, April through September.
